No. 9 TCU gave No. 1 Kansas all it could handle in the quarterfinals of the 2015 Big 12 Tournament this afternoon, but ultimately fell by a score of 64-59. It was a hard-fought game that the favored Jayhawks clinched in thunderous fashion. With the score 61-57 and less than a minute remaining, Kansas killed nearly all of the 35-second shot clock as TCU declined to foul. With the timer winding down, KU point guard Frank Mason penetrated and lofted an alley-oop to teammate Landen Lucas. The big man slammed it home to essentially wrap up the victory.With the win, Kansas moves on to play the No. 4 seed Baylor in tomorrow’s Big 12 semifinals.
